Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Lumi, Inc. (“Lumi,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Lumi website, web application, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data — including your birth details.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else (for example, generating a chart for a friend), you confirm you have their permission to enter their birth details.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lumi. If you are between 16 and 18, you may use the free Service only with a parent or guardian's consent; purchasing a subscription requires that you be the age of majority where you live.

• ✦You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
• ✦Information you provide — especially birth date, time, and place — should be accurate; the quality of your chart depends on it.
• ✦One account per person. You may store charts for others within the app where that feature is offered, with their permission.
• ✦Tell us promptly at support@lumi.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Lumi computes natal charts from the birth details you provide, using the Swiss Ephemeris and third-party geocoding to determine planetary positions for your birth moment and location. On top of those calculations, Lumi generates written interpretations — natal readings, daily horoscopes, and forecasts — using artificial intelligence.

AI-generated content. Readings are generated specifically for your chart and are not reviewed by a human before delivery. They may occasionally contain errors, awkward phrasing, or interpretations you disagree with. The astronomical calculations and the interpretive text are separate layers: the math is deterministic; the prose is generative.

For reflection, not prescription. Lumi is provided for reflection, self-exploration, and entertainment. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in Lumi. Decisions you make remain yours.

The free tier — your natal wheel, Big 3, today's horoscope, and a 7-day journal — is free forever and requires no payment method. Premium subscriptions (monthly or annual) unlock additional features described at purchase.

• ✦Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you buy; taxes may apply based on your location.
• ✦Cancellation. Cancel anytime from your profile. You keep Premium through the end of the period you've paid for; we don't offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
• ✦Price changes. If we change subscription pricing, we'll notify you at least 30 days before it affects your renewal, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
• ✦Billing errors. Duplicate charges or mistakes on our end will be refunded — write to support@lumi.app.

Lumi is a calm corner of the internet, and we'd like to keep it that way. You agree not to:

• ✦Enter another person's birth details without their permission, or use the Service to harass, stalk, or profile anyone.
• ✦Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the Service, or access it with automated tools except through interfaces we provide.
• ✦Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service, or misrepresent AI-generated readings as the work of a human astrologer.
• ✦Upload anything unlawful, infringing, or malicious, or attempt to probe or breach our security.
• ✦Use the Service to make or communicate deterministic claims about others' health, finances, or major life decisions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.

You own your content. Your birth details, journal entries, and anything else you create in Lumi belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you — calculating your chart, generating your readings, syncing your journal.

Your readings are yours to keep. You may save, print, and share your own charts and readings for personal, non-commercial use. The Lumi name, wordmark, design, and the Service's software remain our intellectual property.

Your journal is never used to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to keep the astronomy precise and the Service reliable, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make in reliance on astrological content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you — nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can't be waived.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings or by emailing privacy@lumi.app — deletion of your data is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case Premium subscribers receive a pro-rated refund for unused time).

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app message before they take effect. Continuing to use Lumi after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't, you may close your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in still apply. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless your local law gives you the right to sue at home.
